Head of product at Atomize, Ellen Hartelius

Could you please briefly tell us about your background?

Ellen: I have ten years of experience working with both physical and digital product development. I am a curious, creative person with a Master of Science degree in Industrial Design Engineering. I started my career as a User Experience designer within healthcare ICT and have since then worked as UX Lead as well as a commercial Product Manager at a B2B company focusing on customer experience.

What will your main responsibilities be at Atomize and how will you execute those actions?

Ellen: My responsibility is to ensure we have the best product possible that is loved and valued by all our customers! That includes product strategy, vision, execution and communication.

To succeed, I will work closely with Atomize incredible development team and see that they get all the support and input they need.

I am passionate about great user experience and convinced that a data-driven approach will maximize Atomize chances of success. I will study trends, interact with the customer, and certify that we use the right product analytics – ultimately ensuring that we can innovate further and base our decisions and design on real user needs, behaviour, and data insights.

On top of that I will bring a lot of positive energy and inspiring leadership with the ambition of making this – already amazing – workplace even better.

Please share some personal trait that no one else knows about you:

I love being a product evangelist! In order to succeed as such, I need to truly understand the users of the product, and I find that the best way of doing so is by experiencing their reality. During such an occasion, when I was studying nurses on hospital units in Philadelphia, I was fortunate to observe a very rare (and successful) surgery separating conjoined twins!
“I am very proud and happy that Ellen, with her broad industry leadership experience, deep skillset in UX/UI design; is taking the role as Head of Product at Atomize. Our clients will soon note Ellen’s entry and she brings unique value to the team as Atomize now levels up its global expansion, ” says Alexander Edström, the CEO of Atomize.
